5 Must Watch Feel Good Shows on Netflix

Today I bring you the list of 5 shows that will make you feel good and you might feel a little accepted by the world. I also made this list because these shows are one of the few least known shows and they deserve your attention.

The reason I started the list with this show is because it is just one of the very best shows I have ever watched. Every time you watch a show you start making predictions and most of the time you are right. But this show sets a standard not only for your family but for all the light hearted shows that you watch. It is so beautifully unconventional that you will not be able to handle the fact that it ends.

The show is about a boy Josh who is going through his first decade of adulthood. The heart of the show is Josh’s various kinds of weird relationships with his friends, family and partners that are filled with lots of drama and emotions.

It talks about mental illness and sexuality in a way that makes it normal for the society to accept it. Each and every character has their own special traits and the audience can relate to them in one way or another. This show gave us new expectations from TV comedies.

You must have not heard about the show much but once you watch it you won’t be able to get over it easily.

(IMDB : 8.5)

It is rare that we watch shows that have two female main leads. And among those shows Gilmore Girls is a show that deserves all the appreciation. As often judged by its name most men or boys don’t prefer to see this show but the truth is that it has nothing in its content that the boys can’t relate to.

This is a show based on mother daughter relationship but more than that it is the friendship that we can see. Lorelai is an independent young single woman who shares an out of the world bond with her studious daughter Rory. Both of them are filled with energy which comes from drinking a lot of coffee.

Both have a lot to express which is visible by the speed in which they talk and how dramatic they get sometimes. It is not just a show but a therapy. We see a lot of shows with great family bonds but this show will actually make you improve your relationships with your family and you will get more patient to accept all the drama around you.

If you have even a little time on your hands, I think you should definitely invest that time in this show because you deserve to watch good content. You will definitely get addicted to this show and it is bound to change few things in your personality.

(IMDB 8.1)

Atypical is a comedy drama that follows the life of a teenager on the autism spectrum, Sam, who decides to get more independent. This pushes his mother to be in her own life changing path. Not only her but the whole family including his sister and father try to adapt to this change.

Besides the family, penguins also have a major role to play in this heartwarming series. Sam is often compared to the penguins and the way they react. It is amazing to see his too honest and unusual relationship with his girlfriend. Also his sister is supportive to him in a big brother way and their relationship sets new standards for you and your siblings.

This show is filled with compassion for Sam as he tries to give the audience a look into his everyday experiences but it sometimes also relies on him as a punch line. The inconsistency of the show is what stops it from being great. But it is a rare kind of show and deserves your attention. You need to watch it to see the amazing writing by Robia Rashid and some amazing performances.

(IMDB 8.3)

It is a truth telling comedy that gets you hooked from the first scene. It is not new to see women handling both work and home but this show brings the novelty that we were missing all along. Working mothers are expected to work at home like they don’t have a job and work at job like they don’t have a family.

And these expectations can create an immense pressure on a person. Personal time seems like a luxury because the pressure of balancing relationships and friendships never leave you alone. From a funny and light hearted show it turns dark pretty quickly. At its core it is scary to see what all the women have to face. If they chase their job or pull away emotionally for some time they suddenly degraded to being irresponsible mothers and partners.

One of the most beautiful thing about the show is how it conveys that a being a mother comes from heart and not actually from the gender. You might give birth but it does not automatically gives you the maternal feelings one is supposed to have. It is a fun show and with small episodes it is also easy to binge watch.

(IMDB: 7.6)

Just like the title the show is a culmination of sweet friendships, families and other relationships that keep seeing their ups and down with time. Since it was released this year during the time we were locked at home, many people have already seen this series. But if you have free time on your hands and don’t want to invest in long series that eat up your brain cells, you should definitely give this series a try.

It is short and sweet and is based on a lot of emotions. It is not unpredictable but a sweet family show which is good for time pass and made for soft hearted people.

(IMDB: 7.4)

I hope you would enjoy these shows. They might add some value to your life and might leave you feeling optimistic.
